Masculine - Need for Speed
Wow, where has the time gone? My intention is to regularly upload my cards to my blog but sometimes things can get a little hectic and before you know it the month has gone by, I do apologise, this is where my time has gone, my youngest is starting school next year and the school has a transition period where he goes to his new school for a few days at the end of the year and that way it is familiar when he goes next year and you would not believe the paperwork that goes with it. Anyway I have finally managed to get into my craft room which I have missed terribly and since it is my father-in-laws birthday this month I came up with this masculine card. I used the stamping off technique so the background was lighter which makes the plane and the splotches stand out more, better effect I think.
Here is what I used to make it:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Smokey Slate
Ink: Smokey Slate
Stamps: Clockworks, Need for Speed, French Foliage & Sassy Salutations
Dimensions:
Base: 14cm x 28cm (pre folded)
14cm x 14cm (folded)
Smokey Slate layer: 13.5cm x 13.5cm
Whisper White layer: 13cm x 13cm
Thanks for looking.

Lovely As A Tree Christmas Card
Hi Everyone,
I have started to think about making some Christmas cards this year, I always leave things to the last minute when Christmas is concerned and always tell myself that next year is going to be different and I will start early, it has only taken what seems the last 20 years to get my act together lol...anyway I wanted to use 'Lovely As A Tree' one of my favourites. This card was easy to make here are the items I used to make it:
Paper: Early Espresso (14.8cm x 10.5cm folded) & Whisper White (14.3cm x 10cm)
Stamp Sets: Lovely As A Tree (127793/clear or 128655/wood), Many Merry Messages (126402/clear or 126400/wood).

Gingham Calendar
Here is another project I did for the craft fair, the base is Island Indigo which is cut to 4" x 8" and scored at 2" and 4", fold the card in half and fold the 2" section inwards this makes the base of your easel card. The Whisper white cardstock is cut to 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and the Gingham Garden DSP is cut to 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" adhere these to the section that folds inwards then add the calendar etc. I used the following to create this calendar:
Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Gingham Garden DSP, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.
Punches: 1 3/4" scallop, 1 3/8" circle, 1 3/8" scallop, Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly.
Other: Calendar, Basic Rhinestones and Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon.

About Me
Welcome,
My name is Tracy Jones. I grew up in a small town called Queanbeyan and moved to Melbourne about 15 years ago. I now live in Highton and have called Geelong my home for the last 5 years. I am happily married and have two wonderful sons. I have just recently joined the CFA as a volunteer Fire Fighter for the Highton Brigade, something I never thought I would do in my wildest dreams but signed up anyway and absolutely love it.
Around two years ago I started to get involved in scrapbooking; my very close friend bought a bag full of beautiful papers and embellishments for my birthday and my first thought was yay but then the next thought was what do I do with this, I never considered myself to be creative and didn't have a clue what to do however, my husband left me at home for the evening and I pulled this bag out with all these beautiful things and began putting it together and started an album for my 5 year old son. Well that was it I was hooked I could not wait for my husband to leave every Wednesday night so I could scrap my little heart out. Then I went to the Craft & Quilting Show in Melbourne and there was Stampin' Up!, I went from one demonstration to another following like a little puppy with the amazement at what could be created with stamps and that was it I am now a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator and love learning and making cards as well as teaching others how to create handmade cards and crafts through my workshops. I have met so many wonderful like minded people and have made some wonderful friends and hope to continue for many, many years to come.
